Parkview Medical Center-Pueblo West is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist for our Surgery Department for a full-me day shift position in Pueblo, CO.

Short Description

Come join us in our mission to provide the highest quality health care to the people we serve at our Pueblo, CO location. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and assisting with each surgery scheduled for the day.

This is a full-me position, scheduled Monday through Friday, for the day shift. In part with your fellow teammates, you will be responsible for setting up all needed instruments for the scheduled procedure. In addition, you will also be responsible for the breakdown and cleaning of the operating room, in preparation for the next case.

CST Roles and Responsibilities

  • Understand who our customers are and what our customers expect of us.
  • Be the first to respond to any customer request or need.
  • Support other members of the work team in meeting customer needs
  • Be accountable for the technical and behavioral competencies of the job
  •  Surgical scrub for all operative procedures

Education

  • High School Graduate or equivalent required.
  • AAS degree in Surgical Technology through an AMA-approved school or recognized program of study by the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) is required.

Certification

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) is required at hire or within 6 months of hire, transfer, or promotion.

Registration

Current Colorado Registration required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • CST experience preferred.
  • If the job requires driving for Parkview, the employee must have a current Colorado driver’s license, may need to be 21, and may need to submit proof of insurance coverage.
