Title:  Lab Aide I PRN or FT Available ($13.90-$24.00)

Job Summary

• Understand who our customers are and what our customers expect of us.
• Be the first to respond to any customer request or need.
• Support other members of the work team in meeting customer needs.
• Be accountable for the technical and behavioral competencies of the job.
• Under the supervision of a certified Medical Laboratory Scientist, will be responsible for receiving and processing specimens, preparing and planting specimens on media, packaging and shipping specimens for referral testing, and performing select testing.

Certification

National Medical Laboratory Assistant certification required from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) for Laboratory Aide II. 

Education

High school graduate or equivalent required.  Post-secondary medical education preferred.

Experience

• Previous phlebotomy experience preferred.
• If the job requires driving for Parkview, the employee must have a current Colorado driver’s license, may need to be 21, and may need to submit proof of insurance coverage.
