Parkview Medical Center is hiring Registered Nurses for the Medical/Surgical Orthopedic Department in Pueblo, CO.
Short Description
As a Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a team of passionate providers to implement the plan of care for adult patients within the scope of the medical/surgical Ortho unit. These are full-time positions with Day and Night shift opportunities to promote a healthy work-life balance.
Founded in 1923, Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, Colorado, offers general acute healthcare and behavioral health specialty services. As a private, non-profit organization, Parkview is licensed for 350 acute-care beds and provides a full range of healthcare services. Working in our adult medical/surgical orthopedic unit you will have the opportunity to provide nursing care to patients in the acute care setting.
RN Orthopedic Roles & Responsibilities

Provide safe and effective care for adult and pediatric orthopedic and Med/Surg patients.

Assesses the patient, selects, develops, and individualizes the plan of care.

Communicate and document appropriately.

Makes patient assignments and supervises delegated functions based on patient needs.

Understands and participates in Quality Improvement (QI), and Performance Measurement Process Improvement (PMPI)

Understand who our customers are and what our customers expect of us.

Be the first to respond to any customer request or need.

Support other members of the work team in meeting customer needs.

Be accountable for the technical and behavioral competencies of the job.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Med Surg experience preferred.
- Epic and Epic Rover EMR experience preferred.
- Previous orthopedic experience preferred.
- If the job requires driving for Parkview, the employee must have a current Colorado driver’s license, may need to be 21, and may need to submit proof of insurance coverage.
Education
Degree in Nursing required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
Licensure
Colorado RN License or Nurse Licensure Compact (Multi State Licensure) required.
Certification
ACLS within 6 months of hire, NIH certification, Orthopedic Nurse Certification encouraged with 2 years of hire or based on experience.
